Casement windows are a popular, versatile style, with hundreds of configurations to suit your home. We supply and fit uPVC casement windows in Woodbridge, Ipswich and across Suffolk, as a windows-only job or alongside a new conservatory.
Quotes are free, and every casement window we fit is covered by our 10-year insurance-backed guarantee through HIP.insure.

A casement window has one or more opening sashes fixed to the frame with hinges. A side-hung sash opens outwards like a door, and a top-hung sash opens outwards from the top. Fixed panes can sit alongside the openers, so a single window can combine both. It is one of the most popular window styles and suits most houses.
A casement can be configured from a single sash to several sashes, depending on the size of the opening. Openers can go on one side, both sides, the top or the full frame, and each gives a different amount of ventilation. A wide living-room window might have a fixed centre pane with an opener at each end, while a small cloakroom window might need only a top opener. We can suggest a layout for each room when we quote.
The frame shape changes how your windows look from the street. Choose a traditional sculptured (curved) finish, a chamfered (bevelled) edge for a clean, contemporary look, or a flush fit. On a standard casement the opening sash sits slightly proud of the frame. On a flush casement window it sits level with the frame, like traditional timber.
Casement openers let you control how much fresh air comes in. If your old windows have trickle vents, and they were required when those windows were fitted, your new casements need them too, with at least the same capacity. Read more about ventilation and condensation.

On a standard casement the opening sash overlaps the frame slightly. On a flush casement the sash sits level with the frame, which gives the flat look of traditional timber windows. Flush casements can also have heritage hardware and Georgian bars as options. See our flush casement windows.
Casement windows open outwards and suit most rooms. Tilt and turn windows open inwards, either tilting at the top for ventilation or turning fully, and have four locking points, so they suit rooms where window safety or access is a concern. See our tilt and turn windows.
